Update on this post: I found that most people didn't like the drippy letters. Sometimes I get excited about something that's "different" and don't realize that it's kinda weird. I went back to the drawing board and got almost 100% consensus on a new version, so here it is. It's neater, but I like that the pointy lettering is reminiscent of cat teeth/claws. Thanks to all who gave ideas and opinions.       Today I'm looking for opinions on covers for the next book, scheduled for November release. I like the fancy font stuff, but I admit the plain is easier to read. Imagining that most people will see this online, as a thumbnail, which cover takes your eye? Or make a suggestion. I'm interested.

Cover Choices for Sleuth Sisters #7

We're in Green Bay, Wisconsin, but the direction I thought the story would go changed, so instead of city-scapes, we have woods. Here are the two covers we're looking at, and I'd love your input. Tell me which you like AND what you notice that looks out of place or dimension. I can get it fixed, but after while my eyes see the whole, not the individual parts.

If Your Pet Were...

If your dog were an actor, who would he be most like?* If your cat went to college, what would she major in? If your horse got to decorate the stall, which colors would he choose? If your guinea pig rented a movie, what would he want to watch? If your parakeet had a purse, would it be designer, practical, or casual? *Burt here strikes me as an Abe Vigoda type. Just wondering... For my regular readers, I've decided to move the blog to Thursdays and see if I'm better able to keep up with stuff that way. (Peg's still on Mondays)
